Poly(2-3)glucose T1-35 is a water and organic soluble polymer packaged in a 10 ml serum bottle as a 250 mg sterile, lyophilized cake. In aqueous solution if forms a temperature responsive gel with a transition temperature of 35 C in PBS. T1-35 is recommended for soft agar, colony formation, and tumorigenicity assays and other applications that require mild temperatures and cell retrieval after encapsulation.

Description

Poly (2-3) glucose T1-35 has a lower critical solution temperature of 35 C in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.1. It is packaged with 0.25 grams of lyophilized, pyrogen free, sterile polymer in 10 ml serum bottles. Add media or buffer directly to the bottle to make stock polymer solutions. There is space to dilute down to a 2% solution. Polymer T1-35 is recommended for tumorigenicity assays and other applications that require cell retrieval after encapsulation. Cells encapsulated in t-3 at 37 C can be handled at room temperature for one hour before the gel dissolves. Faster dissolution comes with chilling. t-3 makes the clearest gel with the least syneresis. It is best for microscopic viewing of encapsulated cells. Polymers T1-25 and T1-30 may be mixed with T1-35 to obtain customized lower critical solution temperatures in the range 25 to 35 C or to accommodate transition temperature shifts in solutions other than PBS.
